Sustainable Seafood Sector Groups

Sustainability is a core issue for suppliers addressing market expectations and maintaining assured supply. The Sustainable Seafood Sector Groups operate at a global level and consist of supply chain members that have an interest in a specific seafood area, for instance whitefish, crabs, shrimp, salmon etc. The groups perform a range of roles including acting as a forum for information exchange and discussion, developing procurement specifications, reviewing the performance of fishery improvement projects and identifying new areas of work in the future.

SFP currently coordinates the following Sector Groups:

The Groups are structured around annual informal roundtables, ad hoc sub groups and online access to summary information and commissioned reports. Participating companies provide presentations and advice when appropriate.

If you represent a company that would like to join a Group please contact SFP.
