SFP and CeDePesca have recommended Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) pre-assessment for argentine hoki in order to clarify the actions necessary to better manage this fishery. Companies involved in the fishery are discussing a proposal to create a management commission together with the government and to build a management plan, and have shown strong interest to go ahead with an MSC pre-assessment.
