Sustainable Fisheries Partnership (SFP) is pleased to announce the hiring of Sean Murphy to serve as communications manager from today (1 December 2015).

Murphy has a long history of journalism, working as a reporter and editor for more than 17 years for various media and audiences, ranging from print to digital.

Most recently, Murphy worked for seafood industry media website SeafoodSource as its online editor, where he coordinated editorial coverage, produced news and commentary on the seafood industry, and also produced video and other multimedia for the site.“I’m thrilled to be joining SFP’s team,” Murphy said. “I’ve always admired SFP’s approach to promoting sustainable fishing, seafood farming, and seafood sourcing practices, and I’m looking forward to being a part of that effort.”

Blake Lee-Harwood, Communications and Strategy Director for SFP said:“We are delighted to have Sean join our crew and his wide experience of the seafood industry will be a huge asset. SFP works closely with the industry on numerous projects which can be both complicated and highly technical; Sean’s outstanding communication skills will ensure that our advice and commentary will be delivered clearly and succinctly to the right audiences and enhance our impact in supporting fishery and aquaculture improvement.”
